The Pairing Project

The Pairing Project is a food and beverage zine that aims to encourage creative culinary experiences. The first Issue, "Sake & Snacks," is a collection of recipes with respective sake pairings -- each recipe in the book was contributed by independent culinary creatives that I am connected to through my near decade in the hospitality industry. Some of the contributors were chefs at restaurants like Atomix, Wildair and Place des Fetes, while others are extremely successful food influencers like Anna and Kevin from @cabagges.world (858k followers on instagram). I loved building this community and giving these incredible cooks another platform to share their work. The sake pairings are all my own.

The Pairing Project Issue One: Sake & Snacks was designed, printed, bound in Brooklyn, NY. This zine was independently published in 2024 in a first edition of 200 copies. The zine was printed and bound by hand in Brooklyn, NY by Secret Riso Club.
